A Matter of Heart
“I like being a queen. I’ve always liked to be loved, admired, appreciated, and when not being so, that put me in misery.” (Queen Marie of Romania)
A Matter of Heart is a fresh exploration of the life of Queen Mary. Also, the movie stands for the necessary remembering of this forgotten history, as well as its incredible resonance in the society of that time. The heart of Queen Marie lies in the National History Museum of Romania in Bucharest since 1971, waiting for better times to rejoin the places the queen loved so much. It is our ignorance alone that makes us not pressure Romanian authorities to bury the queen’s heart, as her testament wish provided.
