Andreea Raducan Affair

A documentary film about the biography of one of the most famous Romanian gymnast presented after 8 years from the Olympic Games edition which marked her life for ever.

At Olympic Games (Sidney 2008) International Olympic Committee announced that Andreea Răducan had tested positive for pseudoephedrine ( a substance banned at that time) from Nurofen, a common over-the-counter medication, to help treat a fever. In spite of strenuous appeals from Răducan, her coaches, the Romanian Gymnastics Federation, she was stripped of her gold medal; she was allowed to keep the other medals won in the competition (silver for vault and gold for team competition). The aim of this documentary is to put a spotlight on Andreea’s career and to help her to regain, why not, the medal unfairly withdrawn in 2000.
