"Oli's Wedding" won the Best Romanian Short Film Award at NexT IFF 2009. The bitter-sweet story about scattered families and lonely parents written and directed by Tudor Cristian Jurgiu was deemed the best short in the National Competion of NexT International Short and Medium Length Film Festival which takes place in Bucharest and which was founded in the memory of filmmakers Cristian Nemescu and Andrei Toncu. This year's jury was made up of Nikolaj Nikitin, Stefan Arsenijevic, Riina Sildos, Jean-Yves Roubin, Catalin Cristutiu, Frank Albers and Cristoffer Olofsson.
